This UL listed Kitchen Queen is the "draft horse" of the
wood cook stoves. If you have ever watched one
of those gentle giants, you know their claim to
fame is strength, not speed like a racehorse.
The same is for the Kitchen Queen. There are
other stoves that will heat up faster than the
Queen but once she gets going she is one
powerful heating stove, heating up to 2400
square feet! This is the stove for those of you
who live in cold climates and need a stove to
keep away the chill from long, cold winters.
If you still need a superior heating stove but
don't have that much square footage or have a
small cooking area, Kitchen Queen makes a
smaller version of the standard size stove for
your convenience! It will still heat up to 1500
square feet and takes up less space.
Cooking and baking with this stove is easy as
long as the fire is hot and well made. This is
partially due to the fact that the Kitchen Queen
has the largest firebox of all the Amish made
wood cook stoves! Because of the size of the
firebox, it takes a good size fire to heat up
the cook top and oven. This is why we recommend
this stove for those who live where a fire will
need to be going both day and night during long
winters. The stove will already be hot so
cooking will be fast and efficient. "But what if
I want to cook when it is not as cold?", you
ask. Kitchen Queen offers a summer grate that
can be placed in your firebox. This grate allows
for a smaller fire and brings it closer to the
stove top.
 Not only does the Kitchen Queen boast the
largest firebox but it can also claim the
largest reservoir at a 24 gallon capacity vs. 5
gallons found in most wood cook stoves. You have
the option of having your stove fitted with hot
water coils inside the firebox that can connect
to the reservoir on the back of the stove. Or if
you need more than 25 gallons of hot water, the
coils can connect to a remote water storage tank
like our range boiler. As you can see this stove
was built for lots of use and is unsurpassed in
its heating capabilities! The Kitchen Queen is a
true workhorse!
